Acadia Minor Hockey Registration for the 2023 – 2024 season is now open!
You can register your player here www.acadiaminorhockey.ca

A huge thank you to Jo Phinney and Kara Kamotzki who have led the transition of our system from Goalline to GrayJay.  As this is a new system, please be patient, but it is quite straightforward (if I can do it, anyone can 😉)

A few things to note:

Rec vs. Rep: When deciding whether to register your child for rec hockey or rep/travel hockey, consider the level of commitment that your player is looking for. Rep hockey practices an additional 50 minutes per week. As a result, there are additional “rep fees” above and beyond the tryout fees that are levied on all rep players that include that additional ice time as well as any tournaments etc. There is also an additional cost for tryouts for rep that is reflected in the registration fee.

Registration: When you go to the site above, click on “Registration” and select the “2023/24 Season Registration” from the drop down. Once in, you will see a number of different options based on age groupings and recreation or rep. Please make sure you select the correct category. The numbers in brackets are your child’s birth year. The system will block you from registering your child in the wrong age group.

Goalies:  If you are registering a goalie for U9 or U11, there is a separate category specifically for you because we are continuing to offer half price registration fees at this level to support goalie development in our organization.

HCR: The new system links to HCR so when you input your child’s name and date of birth, it will pull their HCR number for registration. The correct date of birth must be entered.

Fees: As promised, we have not raised registration fees this year. The incremental increase from last year is to cover online payment fees.

Payments: With the new system, payments will be online only. There will no longer be an option for e-transfer. If you are applying for Kidsport or Jumpstart support, please contact our Treasurer Sue Vincent – amha_treasurer@outlook.com to make arrangements.

Installments: If you intend to break your payments into 3 installments, you must register ASAP so that your July, August, and September payments will all be complete before the registration deadline at the end of September).

E-mails: Since you are setting up an account in a new system, please ensure that the e-mail address you are inputting is the best address at which to receive communication from AMHA. Please also ensure that all family members that want to receive AMHA communication are connected to the account.

Waivers:  You will be asked to confirm that you agree to the Hockey Canada waivers, as well as a number of AMHA waivers including – Refund Policy, Payments Policy, Dispute Resolution Policy, Code of Conduct, and, for rep players, an acknowledgment that you understand that there are additional rep fees that will be charged during the season. Please read all of these policies carefully before signing off.

New Players: Please forward this information to anyone you know who is interested in playing hockey for AMHA this year. If a player hasn’t played hockey before and doesn’t have an HCR number, the system will take you through that process step by step.

We hope everyone has a wonderful summer and we can’t wait to see the players on the ice in the fall!

Meg Cuming,
AMHA Chair
